When TAG Heuer launched the Monaco in 1969, the brand achieved two world firsts: the first water-resistant watch with a square case and the first Quartz chronograph. The very next year, Steve McQueen fell for its stunning looks and wore it in his "Le Mans" movie. The legendary actor made it an icon. This Monaco chronograph has an elegant black sunray-brushed dial in a 39 mm square case, with red permanent seconds indicator. To celebrate our most famous icon, we revisited traditional colors of our Monaco Collection. This chronograph has serious retro appeal, but the engine powering it is the in-house, state-of-the-art manufactured movement Calibre Heuer 02 Quartz, visible through the sapphire case back. The 39mm case is stainless steel, fine-brushed and polished to perfection. The beveled and domed sapphire crystal protecting the face is solid and with iconic curves.
