The Rolex Submariner in stainless steel. Had an older one for 15 years without issue. Never even had it serviced yet and keeps good time.I also just purchased a new one (ceramic). I will most likely have it serviced this year and have some of the light scratches polished out to look like new again. Classics like this never go out of style. I would recommend shopping when you go on vacations or cruises to those warm sandy destinations. Typically prices are as much as 15 to 20 % lower can be found from authorized stores. The manufacturer does allow discounts despite what most us jewelers try to tell you. (Posted on 22/11/2017)
I bought mine 20 years ago and have worn it every day. It looks like new and keeps perfect time. As Rocky said, 'If you want to have a good time, you have to have a good watch'. (Posted on 22/11/2017)
While serving as a USMarine Corps aviator in Vietnam in 1968 I purchased my Rolex Datejust at the Hong Kong China Fleet Navy Post Exchange for $187.50. I have worn the watch daily for the past 47 years including while flying, scuba diving and motorcycle riding without complaint. It is still an accurate, attractive timepiece. I have owned my Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust for over 20 years. I wear it everyday. Love this watch. You buy one and you never need to buy another watch. It's a classic timepiece that never goes out of style. I still get compliments on it regularly. I clean it weekly with a drop of hand soap, water and a soft toothbrush and it looks brand new. Does it lose a little time? Yes, maybe a couple minutes every month or so. But who cares? Takes 10 seconds to adjust. (Posted on 22/11/2017)
