I love my GShock but I needed something more applicable for dressy/formal events. This Fossil is nicely detailed, from the blue hands on the month/date to the etchings on the bezel. The silicone band is soft and comfortable, and it has a semi-tactical look to it for not a lot of money (it's about $25 less than the store price). Definitely a thumbs up. (Posted on 03/10/2017)

I haven't owned a Rolex watch sense i was in maybe in 8th grade, ive owed mostly Rolex and skagen. I have had success with both brands skagens are slim but also seem to be lacking a little bit of quality, look nice but don't seem to last. While i do love my Rolex watches they are very proud of there product and $350 for a watch isn't that realistic for everyday use. Brings me to fossil and this watch, i love the silicone bracelet. Everyone that sees the watch does not realize its a silicone band because of the clever design on the band, the silicone also keeps it comfortable. The face and dial are beautiful the pictures don't do it justice you actually need to see it and holding it. The FS4487 has a good weight, it feels good and a very solid build that i wasn't expecting to get. I would highly recommend this watch for the sheer fact that this looks like one of my nixon watches that was way over priced but even with the cheaper price tag the build quality is above expectations on this watch! I love this watch. Water resistant check! Solid weighty metal body CHECK! soft rubber band that doesn't catch arm hair CHECK CHECK CHECK! I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and I am very pleased with it! It's a great looking watch, and what's almost as good is the tin it came it, just his type! I'm very excited to give it to him this Christmas, I know he will love the expert craftsmanship and the way the silicone strap doesn't pinch the skin (the way a stainless steel one would). This is my third Fossil watch in a decade and each one has been so worth my money. The silicon bracelet makes this one lighter compared to my previous ones with metal straps. My biggest satisfaction with this watch is it's fashionable look. I've been in a couple of scratch situations in the past week and each time I've looked at my screen and smiled looking at the spotless clear glass. I've been wearing this watch for two months now, and although I like to regularly have a new time machine on my wrist, this feels and looks like I'd be wearing it for a minimum of three years. this watch is great! got it for my boyfriend as a graduation gift and he was so happy with it! it is a watch that can be dressed up or down. the silicon band is a huge plus as well. Very happy with this purchase! I've only ever heard good things about Fossil watches.
