UPDATE: After more than a year of wearing this watch to work every day, being whacked a few times and even slightly wet a couple of times, it's still working perfectly albeit with a couple of superficial scratches. The band is still in great condition.
Couldn't be more happy and would buy another one in a heartbeat if I needed one.
